This 30-minute horror/fantasy anthology series follows in the vein of
The Twilight Zone. Each week presents another standalone story of horror fantasy, and/or science fiction. Some episodes are
gruesome, a few are of a lighter comedic style. Like many such shows, Tales... adapted the work of famous genre authors of
the period such as Harlan Ellison, Stephen King, and Clive Barker. Many episodes also featured veteran actors of the 40's
and 50's that saw very little work in their later years.

 Friday The 13th The TV Series
This series revolved initially around the
adventures of two cousins, Ryan Dallion and Micki Foster, who inherited an antique shop, "Curious Goods," from their
Uncle Vendredi. We find out in the first episode that Vendredi made a pact with the Devil, to sell cursed antiques. He recanted
at the last minute and tried to recover the antiques, but was claimed by Hell. The cousins, aided by Vendredi's partner
Jack Marshak, used the store's manifest to track down the cursed antiques, each of which fell into the hands of someone
who inevitably used them for evil.

 Are You Afraid Of The Dark?
Are You Afraid of the Dark? is a show based on a group of kids called "The Midnight Society". Members meet in a location in
the woods and take turns telling their own spooky tales. The series aired on Nickelodeon in the United States as part of their
SNICK line-up in 1992. It lasted for 5 seasons until it was cancelled in 1996. Later on, it returned to Nickelodeon's
SNICK block with a new cast for two seasons from 1999-2000.

Based on the Tim Burton fim Beetlejuice (1988), this series borrowed several characters and concepts from
the movie but took great liberties with them (as was necessary to create a program suitable for children). Beetlejuice is
a ghost from "The Neitherworld," the land of the dead - he's a trickster and a swindler, but underneath it all
he has a big heart. His best friend Lydia is a very kind-hearted twelve-year-old living girl into goth. Together they made
the perfect pair - her even-tempered and levelheaded, and him manic and hot under the collar. The show was produced by Nelvana.
The groundbreaking CGI shorts featured in many of the episodes were produced by the Calibre animation team.

I was a cop. My wife was raped, I caught the guy who did it, and I killed him. Two months later I died, and
went to Hell. 113 of the most vile creature escaped. The high concept of this story is that Detective Ezekial Stone was sent
to Hell for the murder of his wife's rapist. He spends 15 years in Hell, until 113 souls managed to escape. The Devil
needs someone to send them back to Hell, but can't do much on the physical plane. So he sends Ezekial after them, with
the promise that if Stone recovers all 113, he'll win permanent freedom from Hell. And if he fails, he's damned for
good. All of the escapees as well as Stone are supernaturally indestructible, except they can inflict pain on each other.
The only way to send someone back to Hell is to destroy their eyes, the "windows of the soul." Worse, some of the
escapees spent centuries, if not millennia, in Hell and have developed great power - little of which Stone, a relatively recent
prisoner, has himself. Each week, with a little help (and the occasional hindrance) from the Devil, Stone typically tracks
down another of the escapees and sends them back to Hell. He is tattoed with the names of each one, and when he sends them
back the appropriate tattoo burns itself off. Meanwhile, Stone's ex-wife still believes him dead, but Stone can't
resist checking in on her from time to time.

A neurotic housewife named Sally
and her business exec husband move into Sally's family house, a spooky two story Victorian mansion. When Sally starts
the redecorating along with her pompous decorator she comes across a locked room in the house. After arguing with the handyman
who insists she should leave the room locked, she finally gets the key. But once she opens her father's old study and
has the bricks from the fireplace removed, strange things begin to happen. Sally begins to see small creatures everywhere,
but no one will believe her. Her husband dismisses her as neurotic and her friend thinks Sally may be loosing her mind. But
things take a deadly serious turn when the decorator trips at the top of the stairs and falls to his death. Sally sees a rope
lying across the place where he tripped, but when she picks it up to take it, a horrifying little creature pulls it from her
grasp. Is she crazy? Or has Sally released demons in the house, demons her father summoned?
